Kate will represent the Queen during the visit to the Mediterranean island on September 20 and 21.
It will be her first solo overseas royal trip, but the Duchess will only spend one night away from home and Prince George.
Her Royal Highness has visited several countries, including Canada, Australia and New Zealand, alongside her husband, Prince William.
