But for two unsuspecting joggers, that’s exactly what they got!
Minding their own business and getting on with their routine exercise, two locals running through London’s Green Park were left gobsmacked when they realised they had just ran past the future king.
Prince Charles was enroute, on foot, as he made his was to an official engagement.

The Prince of Wales was oblivious to the bevy of locals in Green Park, who couldn’t help but stand, astounded, at the sight of the royal.
Completely unfazed, the 67-year-old continued chatting to his staff.
Prince William and Prince Harry’s dad was at the leafy grounds to sow seeds for a wildflower meadow named after his mother, the Queen.
Charles first launched the Coronation Meadows campaign in 2013 to mark 60 years since his mother was crowned Queen.
And the green thumbed royal will no doubt be very proud of the accomplishments.
Every year since its launch, the project has created a new meadow in the UK, with the most recent marking Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.

Prince Charles had a marvelous day in the park.
The doting grandfather to little George and sweet Charlotte joined schoolchildren, and together they scattered yellow rattle flower seeds to start the newest grassland in Green Park.
Charles also met some furry fans, local shire horses, who help harrow the ground, which in turn helps the new meadow flourish.
We imagine the royal would love to take his grandson to the park – after all, they both share a love for gardening.
Granddad Charles revealed that he and Prince George like to bond by planting trees!

In a recent chat with BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time, Prince Charles revealed that he and little Prince George like to spend time “planting a tree or two” in the garden of his Gloucestershire home.
“The most important thing is I got him planting a tree or two here, so we planted it together and shovelled in the earth,” said the 67-year-old.
“That’s the way I think, when you are very small, and then each time they come you say, ‘Do you see how much the tree has grown?’, or whatever, and you hope that they take an interest.”

His passion for horticulture also began at a young age.
The royal mused about his childhood, where he would help his grandmother, The Queen Mother, care for the grounds at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
“I always like gardening – I hate to say this – from a child’s point of view. It’s a funny thing, because I have such happy memories of bits of garden at my grandmother’s house,” the 67-year-old remarked.
Laughing, he added, “For me it’s the most marvellous, therapeutic business. You can get reward from it, but you can also be driven mad by it.”
