Cheers! Prince Harry celebrates royal birth at London pub

Prince Harry

He’s known as the “Party Prince” and has vowed to be a “fun uncle”, so it was only fitting that Prince Harry celebrated the birth of his new born nephew the only way he knows how — at a London pub.

The 28-year-old new uncle headed to the bar on Monday night after his nephew, HRH Prince George of Cambridge, had arrived that afternoon the Daily Mail reports.

Residents near The Brown Cow pub in Fulham could hear loud cheering at around 8:30pm when the royal birth was announced, and Harry and a group of high-profile friends had arrived at the bar.

“We could hear something was going on and we are several streets away,” a resident said.

“Everyone was very excited and glad that Harry was there. We could clearly hear three cheers go up.”

Prince George’s uncle has vowed to “make sure he has a good upbringing, keep him out of harm’s way, and make sure he has fun”, and the newest addition to the royal family won’t have any shortage of drinking holes where he will be welcomed should he choose to follow in his uncle’s footsteps.

Prince Harry’s favourite London club, Mahiki, has offered the Prince a lifetimes membership which will start “once George reaches the age of 18”.

A pub in Cambridge where George’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of the city, had recently propped up the bar has reserved a seat for the young prince for him to take up once he is of age as well.

The city of Las Vegas where Prince Harry was infamously caught up in a nude photo scandal on a holiday last year has also promised to welcome the young prince when he reaches the US drinking age of 12.

“Congratulations on the royal addition. See you in 21 years”, the city’s tourism authority posted on its facebook page.
