A Home And Away Roo-mance: Owen and Roo’s best moments as the couple’s relationship blossoms

It’s been a long time since Home And Away fans have seen long-running character Roo Stewart entangled in a romantic storyline.

So, when producers finally did decide to give Roo, who is played by Georgie Parker, a love story, boy did they deliver.

Like many of Summer Bay’s residents, Roo has struggled to form a long lasting connection with any of the men she’s dated over the years, including Harvey Ryan (Marcus Graham), James Edmunds (Myles Pollard) and James Mayvers (Tim Ross).

But that could be about to change, thanks to Cameron Daddo joining the show.

First introduced as Ryder’s (Lukas Radovich) biological father, Evan, Cameron’s character tragically died, leaving Roo, who secretly harboured feelings for him, heartbroken.

Enter Evan’s secret twin, Owen.

With an uncanny resemblance to his brother, it was hard for Roo to be around Owen at first.

But those strong feelings she once felt for Evan have quickly transferred to Owen.

Speaking with Digital Spy Georgie admitted she’d welcome a love interest for her character, on one condition.

“As long as it’s a lovely actor who’s low maintenance!”

“If Roo was to find love again, I’d want it to be long-term. I would want it to be ‘the one’ – somebody who moves into Summer Bay, becomes part of the house and part of the family. Something steady and long-term.”

Both Georgie and Cameron also hinted their characters would fall much more in love during a recent appearance on The Morning Show.

When asked if a wedding could be on the cards, Georgie responded: “I don’t know… Wouldn’t that be fun?” before turning to Cameron and joking: “Hey, I do!”
