The Home and Away cast is about to welcome yet another newcomer, and she’s set to make a big splash in Summer Bay!

On Wednesday, Channel Seven announced Zimbabwe-born actress Juliet Godwin will join the cast as Dr Bree Cameron.

Juliet’s first scenes will air when the beloved soap returns from a short hiatus after the Commonwealth Games in August.

Juliet started filming scenes as Dr Bree Cameron in March.

The 28-year-old was first photographed filming surfing scenes on set in Palm Beach, Sydney, in late-March this year.

Like many Summer Bay stars before her, Home and Away will be Juliet’s first major TV gig.

The blonde bombshell had a minor role as Cara in the ABC drama series The Heights back in 2020.

Juliet, who was raised in Perth, said it’s a “dream come true” to be joining the Home and Away family.

“The fact that I’m able to wake up and go to set every day and do what I love is such a gift. I’m really grateful for this opportunity. Everyone there is so lovely. I get to work with really talented actors, and it’s always a fun vibe,” she told Perth Now.

Juliet, who studied at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts before moving to Sydney to pursue acting, also gave an insight into her new character.

“Bree does come to the bay ready for a fresh start. And so when she sees that there’s a job vacancy in Summer Bay, she definitely jumped on that,” she said, adding that Bree is a down-to-earth surfer chick with a “heart of gold.”

Juliet’s debut on Home and Away comes after a bunch of core stars left the soap in 2022.

Sam Frost, Harley Bonner, Lukas Radovich, Rob Kipa-Williams and Courtney Miller departed earlier this year.

More recently, Home and Away welcomed four new stars; Rob Mallet, Angelina Thomson, Adam Rowland and Stephanie Panozzo, who arrived in the Bay as part of a fictional band named Lyrik.
