Dawson’s Creek stars Michelle Williams and James Van Der Beek reunite

When we opened up our morning light, the last thing we expected to see was Dawson Leery and Jen Lindley together again.

So many emotions.

We all feared we’d have to wait till our lives were over, before we saw a Dawson’s Creek reunion.

But nay, Michelle Williams and James Van Der Beek came together in the most Hollywood way possible.

Matt Damon (THANK YOU) threw a party in honour of Michelle’s new film, Manchester By The Sea, in Los Angeles.

Dawson and Jen, we mean, James and Michelle have not been snapped together since the heartbreaking end of their glorious television series back in 2003.

Now, 13 LONG years later, the pair are cosying up and posing for photos…

No doubt somewhere Pacey and Joey sulking in some corner of the world, wishing they were there.

The former onscreen lovers stared in the cult classic, alongside Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson, between 1998-2003, catapulting the four young actors into international stardom.

Matt Damon is the man behind this reunion, the world thanks you!

The 36-year-old actress and her former co-star, 39, both seemed to be loving their overdue reunion.

The pair were snapped smiling and laughing as they mingled with fellow actors Sandra Bernhard and Sir Ben Kingsley at the star-studded party.

As for the possibility of a on-screen revival, Michelle broached the topic earlier in the year.

Matilda Ledger’s mum was chatting to Today, where she admitted it may be hard for her return, considering SPOILER ALERT, she died at the end of the series.

Dawson’s Creek may have left our screens in 2003, but it will be in our hearts forever.

“I would have to come back as a ghost, or put a lot of filters on the camera, and I’ll do flashback scenes,” she joked.

“I think it’s a fun thing to sort of imagine. I like imagining it. But I haven’t really heard anybody say anything like actually serious about that happening.”

Michelle’s co-star, Katie Holmes, echoed the same view during an interview with Yahoo Style.

“I don’t know,” she mused.

“Does it work today? I don’t want them to grow up. It’s kind of like your parents, they never get out of their 50s. That’s where they are.”

Michelle has remained besties with her on-screen Dawson’s Creek roomie, Busy Phillips.
