Meares, the ex-wife of James Packer, was charged with two counts of driving with a suspended licence and high-range drink driving after the incident.

Her lawyer, Chris Murphy, today asked the court for an adjournment so Meares’ Range Rover can be diligently examined by an “accident investigation service”.

Meares will plead guilty to the drink driving charge on August 20 at Waverley Local Court.

Police will be dropping the two charges of driving with a suspended licence after Meares’ legal team said she was mistakenly charged.

A NSW Police spokesman said Meares was driving on O’Sullivan Road at 9:35pm on Saturday, June 21, when she crashed into three parked cars and flipped her own. She later recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.181, police said.

Meares is set to marry her fiancé, Jon Stevens, later this year and has been in New York shooting the latest campaign for her luxe sportswear label, The Upside.

She is expected to face court on August 20.
