The Academy Award winning actress was visiting the popular talk show host about Woman in Gold, her new film about a woman suing the Austrian government for the return of artwork the Nazis stole from her family.

Instead she ended up creating comedy gold when she decided to do a portion of the interview after inhaling helium.

Hilarity ensued when Jimmy decided to take a lightweight approach to the interview.

The funnyman noted how Helen had a lovely accent, but would she sound the same with helium.

“You have the best British accent. It’s very proper,” Jimmy said.

“I was just wondering if your voice sounded the same on helium.”

Pulling out two balloons, he and the 69-year-old actress continued the interview with silly, high-pitched voices.

“I haven’t done this since I was about 11,” Helen revealed getting right into the helium.

The actress requested to be given an award so she could give and acceptance speech in her squeaky voice!

“Oh thank you, I’m so honored…I want to thank my whole crew and my husband. I love you, darling. I love you very, very much.” She said in her helium induced voice.

“Wait, I’m getting light headed. I’m going to pass out!”
