George Clooney has remained tight lipped since welcoming twins Alexander and Ella with his wife, Amal Clooney. But now, several months later, the actor has opened up about his stunning transition into fatherhood.

Speaking ahead of his big red-carpet return at the Venice Film Festival this week, where he will debut his latest feature, Suburbicon, the filmmaker spoke about life as a new parent.

“I just have to clean the barf off of my tux,” the 56-year-old told the Associated Press in an interview published on Tuesday. “It used to be my barf but now it’s the twins’ barf. So it all works out.”

“Right now my job is changing diapers and walking them around a little bit,” he said about his and Amal’s newborns. “I really didn’t think at 56 that I would be the parent of twins. Don’t make plans. You always have to just enjoy the ride.”

He continued: “Suddenly, you’re responsible for other people, which is terrifying.”

Of course, The Monuments Men actor admits much of the credit belongs to his 39-year-old wife.

“She’s like an Olympic athlete,” he said. “She’s doing so beautifully.”

Amal first showed off her baby bump at the 42nd César Awards.

The new parents are reportedly “overjoyed” with their new arrivals.

George and Amal welcomed their darling twins at the beginning of June, but even the mayhem of brand-new infants wasn’t enough to keep the duo away from advocacy.

The Clooney Foundation for Justice recently announced that it will open and fund seven public schools for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon through a $2.25 million partnership with UNICEF.

The collaboration, which is also funded by a $1 million technology grant from HP Inc. and a “generous” donation from Google.org, will strive to provide education services to around 3,000 refugee students who are currently out-of-school.

“Thousands of young Syrian refugees are at risk – the risk of never being a productive part of society. Formal education can help change that. That’s our goal with this initiative,” the new parents said in a joint statement.

“We don’t want to lose an entire generation because they had the bad luck of being born in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

The duo established the foundation in 2016, with a mission of “advancing justice in courtrooms, communities, and classrooms around the world.”

We can’t wait to hear more from the beautiful family-of-four.
