Erin Molan shares important health update after fainting live on air

2Day FM listeners were left concerned after presenter Erin Molan passed out live on air when faced with her greatest fear – a spider.

While presenting on her show, Hughesy, Ed & Erin, the sports presenter was joined by a listener named Linda who shared her fear of the arachnid. Both were tasked with holding the tarantula in their hands.

When it came time for Erin to conquer her fear, the presenter started to demonstrate panic attack symptoms before eventually fainting.

Erin has now spoken about the incident.

“Alright, hang on. We need to go to a break, go to a break!” Hughesy quickly said.

“Let’s go to a break, absolutely. Let’s go to a break, we need to go to a break! We’ll come back!”

Now, the Footy Show alum has broken her silence following the scary encounter.

“Alive… embarrassed… that’s basically it 👌… Thanks so much for all the well wishes xxx,” she wrote on Instagram.

Erin fainted when confronted with a spider.

Friends and fans were quick to console Erin in the comments.

“Great drama. Legend effort,” Hughesy wrote.

“Nothing to be embarrassed about Erin. You were Brave even trying. Xx,” one fan commented.

“No need to be Erin ❤️ Just happy you’re ok- we need you,” another added.

“Don’t be embarrassed, no one likes facing their fears. You are braver than 99% of the population for trying. Hold your head up, 🙌🙌,” a third wrote.

Immediately after the incident, Erin was just as shocked as the listeners.

“I don’t even know what’s happened, that’s never happened to me before,” she said. “I’m so sorry, that was so dramatic.”

“It was a very stressful situation,” Hughesy jumped in.

Hughesy also confronted his fear of snakes.

Meanwhile, for the same segment, The Masked Singer’s Hughesy came face-to-face with three snakes in an attempt to conquer his fear.

“I’m going to survive,” Hughesy joked, squealing when the snakes were placed on his shoulders and they wrapped around his face.

“I feel invigorated,” he said as the serpents were removed.
