Charlie Sheen’s ex Brooke Mueller is reportedly undergoing psychiatric evaluation in a hospital.
According to TMZ, the hospitalisation follows Brooke allegedly being spotted beating her children at a car wash in Utah.
The children have reportedly been taken from her custody and released to an undisclosed family member.
TMZ reported that law enforcement sources said someone who claimed to be Brooke’s mother reported her daughter as missing with the children, and asked them to find her and determine if she was mentally ill.
Brooke’s mother reportedly raised the alarm.
Brooke was discovered in an SUV vehicle with the twins she shares with Charlie, 7-year-olds Max Sheen and Bob Sheen, and the nanny.
It was reportedly suspected that the mother of two was under the influence of an unidentified substance at the time.

Earlier in the day, TMZ says witnesses had called 911 to report a white woman who seemed to match Brooke’s description beating her children at a car wash.
TMZ says the witness was reportedly very descriptive and included a lot of detail.

Meanwhile, Charlie has reacted to the news of his 39-year-old ex’s drama in a very bizarre way.
The actor, also known for his erratic behaviour, penned a strange poem after the incident.
Charlie’s response to the drama was odd, to say the least.
“In the face of a roughshod and polar moment of unsanctioned divide, sanity and certainty were restored with grace and resolve,” the actor said in a statement to People magazine.
“Immeasurable gratitude and love to a fellow yeoman of the apocalypse; sir Michael from that hamlet called Walters, need accept each and every Crimson palm-sting, as high fives rain upon his bitchen nobility, not just from this traveler, but from his safe and stable brood as well,” wrote the 51-year-old.
