She announced her shock split from husband of seven years Tom Ward in March and now, Studio 10 star Sarah Harris is speaking out about the breakdown of her marriage for the first time.

In a new interview with The Daily Telegraph, the 39-year-old admitted that she and her ex are determined to put their two young sons Paul, five, and Harry, two, first.

“Tom and I adore our kids, we just love them and they come first,” the presenter told the publication.

“I am not the first woman to do this and I certainly won’t be the last.”

“You just have to be organised and everything has to run with military-like precision,” she revealed of their co-parenting strategy.

“It is not to say that there aren’t days where I get in the car and cry the whole way home and think, ‘that was a waste of makeup.'”

On the whole, Sarah says she’s in a “good space” post split but still has times when she ends up in tears.

“It is not to say that there aren’t days where I get in the car and cry the whole way home and think, ‘that was a waste of makeup,'” she confessed.

“On the whole, though, I am doing pretty good.”

The couple announced their separation in March, with a statement from Harris at the time saying: “Tom and I are taking time apart however we remain good friends and deeply committed to co-parenting our two beautiful boys.”

The TV star first met the IT specialist at a bar on Oxford St in Sydney. Tom popped the question five years later and they tied the knot in a lavish wedding at Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview in Sydney, followed by a reception at the Royal Sydney Golf Club in Rose Bay.

“I am so excited to celebrate my love for my best mate Tom. He is just such a beautiful, beautiful soul and I am so lucky to have him,” Sarah told the Daily Telegraph ahead of her 2014 nuptials.

After welcoming two sons together, Sarah admitted to Woman’s Day just last year they were thinking about adding a third child to the mix.

“Having a third child is something we’re currently contemplating… I’m getting on,” she said.
