The tragic news of Jaimi Lee Curry Kenny’s passing has sent shock waves around the nation.

The grief felt by her parents, Lisa Curry and her ex-husband Grant Kenny, and closest loved ones, is unimaginable.

On Monday September 14, the family confirmed their beloved eldest child Jaimi Lee Curry Kenny had passed away following a private battle with a long-term illness.

The family is choosing not to disclose the exact nature of Jaimi’s illness.

Following heartbreaking tributes from her mother Lisa and brother Jett, her sister Morgan Gruell has now spoken out about the tragic loss, penning a heartfelt goodbye to Jaimi.

Taking to Instagram, Morgan shared a sweet photo where she is dressed almost identically with her sister, the duo wearing matching outfits in different colours and up-dos.

“It still doesn’t feel real that you are not here,” Morgan began.

“I am so grateful for the time that I had you as my big sister. I am grateful that Flynn got two and a half years with his Aunty.”

The sisters were close.

“I am grateful for you doing my hair and letting me borrow your clothes.I am grateful for you. There is no one like you,” she continued.

“I love you so much and will forever miss you. Rest now beautiful sister 💕 you will never be forgotten.”

Lisa and her Ironman husband, who officially divorced in 2017, confirmed Jaimi died peacefully, aged 33, on Monday morning at the Sunshine Coast Hospital in Queensland.

“It is with a very heavy heart that Lisa and I confirm that our beautiful daughter Jaimi has lost her battle with a long-term illness and passed away peacefully in hospital this morning in the company of loving family,” Grant said in a statement on behalf of his family.

“Jaimi will forever be remembered as a caring, bright and loving soul who always put others before herself.”
