While Ada Nicodemou is undoubtedly best known for her iconic role as Leah Patterson on Home and Away, the Aussie actress has also starred in some serious blockbusters in her time.

The mother-of-one, who’s been a Summer Bay regular since 2000, also enjoyed a small role in the 1999 sci-fi blockbuster The Matrix.

Ada played Dujour (also known as the White Rabbit Girl), who donned goth apparel while visiting Neo with her boyfriend, Choi, at his apartment to pick some illegal software.

A fan shared a photo of Ada in the film, writing: “Ada Nicodemou aka Home and Away‘s Leah was in The Matrix. Dunno how many times I’ve watched those movies and never realised lmfao, she was so young back then.”

In the film, Ada looked worlds away from her current self, sporting a short blunt-cut fringe, a high bun and heavy eyebrow makeup.

The actress, who would have only been 22 at the time of shooting, showed off her incredible figure in a tight black latex crop top and dozens of thick, gold choker necklaces.

Many fans were shocked to learn that Ada once starred in The Matrix.

“How come I’m only just discovering that Ada Nicodemou appeared in The Matrix?” one fan asked.

“Ada Nicodemou in The Matrix got me so flustered as a teen that I couldn’t watch Home and Away the same ever again,” another quipped.

“To see Ada in that movie was a blast. I grew up thinking she were the most beautiful lady in the world.”

Aside from a cameo in one of the world’s most successful film franchises, Ada has also had credits in local titles Heartbreak High, Police Rescue and Please Marry My Boy.

Ada previously told our sister site Woman’s Day there was a time when she almost walked away from Home and Away.

The soap star admitted she struggled with the demanding role of Leah in her early twenties.

“I was exhausted and I just didn’t want to be doing a show, I just wanted a break. But 20 years later, I’m still here!’ she said.
