It’s never easy being turned down. But for Elora Murger, having it happen on national TV is something she won’t forget any time soon.

Lastnight viewers (and her fellow bachelorettes) watched on in dismay as the 27-year-old pulled Matty J aside at the cocktail party for a chat before trying to plant a sneaky kiss on him behind the curtains.

Much to Elora’s surprise, Matty was quick to shut her down (Ouch!).

“I can’t,” Matty told the persistent Fitness Trainer, who went on to tell him that “none of the other girls would find out about it.”

“I’m not going to do that here,” a shocked Matty responded.

“It’s disrespectful.”

Unbeknownst to Elora, Matty wasn’t the only one offended by Elora’s cunning move. The other girls were also flabbergasted.

“Elora trying to kiss Matty in front of all of us is not very considerate,” Florence said during the episode.

“It’s just a bit rude.”

Matty was unimpressed with Elora’s actions at last night’s cocktail party.

But moments after the scene went to air, Elora took to Instagram to explain her cringe-worthy actions.

“Tonight was a clumsy action of love,” she told her 39,000 followers.

“I would have never done anything to hurt the girls intentionally. I should have been more aware of how it might look like. The situation is nerve racking and when your heart is involved it tumbles. I took full responsibility and hugged the girls tight. I can promise you I have no malice in me. I am just human.”

Despite her public apology, it appears as though the girls are yet to comment on the post.

Meanwhile, fans have forgiven the model with some admiring her for having the guts to do it.

“You took initiative. You go girl,” one fan shared.

“You don’t need to apologise. He should have kissed you back,” another added.
