Hollywood icon Kirk Douglas co-wrote a book that details all of his past infidelities…with his wife

Michael Douglas' father has released: 'Kirk and Anne: Letters of Love, Laughter, and a Lifetime in Hollywood.'

Kirk Douglas is obviously feeling sentimental after celebrating his incredible milestone 100th birthday.

He’s released a book of love letters and general reminiscence with his 98-year-old wife, Anne Douglas.

‘Kirk And Anne: Letters Of Love, Laughter And A Lifetime In Hollywood’ celebrates one of the most iconic actors of all time and his life with Anne.

But some of the content isn’t what you’d call conventional. In fact, it reveals Anne’s known about all the times he’s cheated on her!

Apparently it was “understood it was unrealistic to expect total fidelity in a marriage.”

However, much of the book is very sweet by all accounts and details love letters they sent to each other during courtship and marriage.

The couple, who’ve been married for 63 years, were interviewed by USA Today and as you can see from the video below, they make each other very happy.

Kirk and Anne met on the set of Act of Love when Douglas was already a very famous star. He’d dated the likes of Joan Crawford and Rita Hayworth.

“She was terrible!” he jokes about Anne, in the USA Today interview.

“She was the most difficult woman I ever met. I mean, I was a big movie star! And I invited her to dinner and she said, ‘Oh thank you very much, but I’m so tired.’ “

Kirk recently rang in his 100th birthday. The Spartacus star celebrated the incredible milestone with a party and tables were named after his most iconic films (he’s starred in over 90). Kirk was accompanied by Anne, Michael, and daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones who brought in tow their two children Dylan, 8, and Carys, 13.

Catherine shares a special bond with her father-in-law.

Hilariously, Kirk says ultimately the success to a 63-year marriage is that Anne doesn’t take any crap.

“That’s right,” he says. “And she still doesn’t.”
