The Bachelor Australia’s one-time lovebirds Alex Nation and Richie Strahan have avoided commenting on recent reports that they called it quits six months ago – until now!
Split rumours first began surrounding the pair following the TV Week Logie Awards, back in April.
Since then, the pair has scarcely been spotted out in public together and have stopped their “loved-up” social media posts about one another.
Richie even jetted off on a solo trip to Bali.
Now, Alex is exclusively sharing with NW her side of the story… And it sounds like it’s been an intense few weeks.
“At this stage, I don’t feel the need to make comments on anything,” the single mum said when asked about the heartbreaking rumours.
“But I’m doing well!”
Sources claim the reason Alex, 26, and Richie, 32, have refused to confirm their separation in an attempt to keep their “high-profile” couple status alive.
“Alex felt like Richie was super-keen whenever there was a red carpet event and photo opportunity, but she had to beg him for time on their own,” a source told Woman’s Day.
Our insiders believe the single mum will be just fine.
“Everyone adores Alex, so to announce the split wouldn’t harm her reputation too much,” a second source remarked.
“Richie, on the other hand… Well, he’s already shattered [The Bachelor runner-up] Nikki [Gogan]’s heart once before on TV, so this definitely won’t bode well with fans.”
