EXCLUSIVE: Jesinta Franklin spills her health and skincare secrets

We'll have what she's having.
Jesinta Franklin

Jesinta Franklin has taken 2017 by storm. Not only is she the new Olay Total Effects Ambassador, she successfully kept her December 2016 wedding a complete secret (no easy feat in the celebrity word), released a book, became the face Cadbury’s new range and to top it all off, continues her role as a David Jones Ambassadors. Phew!

We chatted with the model (and biggest #fitspo out there) about her beauty essentials and how she practices beauty from the inside out.

What are your makeup must-haves?

A great mascara, bronzer and highlighter. A good mineral powder and a red lip. I love a great lipstick!

What are your skincare essentials?

Olay Total Effects Day Cream Gentle and the Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser. My skincare regime wouldn’t exist without either of these products, they are my absolute go-to!

What are your favourite perfumes?

Miss Dior or Le Labo.

1. Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser, $13.99, olay.com.au

2. Olay Total Effects Day Cream Gentle, $32.99, olay.com.au

3. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, $165 for 50ml, davidjones.com.au

4. Le Labo Rose 31 EDP, $264 for 50ml, mecca.com.au

How do you practice beauty from the inside out?

I ensure that I nourish my body with foods that fuel me, laugh often, look after my mental health. I workout regularly, try to get as much sleep as possible and find time for the things I love in life and try to do all of this in a balanced way!

The best piece of beauty advice you have ever received?

True beauty shines from within. If you are confident and happy with who you are as a person these things usually show on the outside. Also, to embrace what you have and don’t compare yourself to others.

Do you have a go-to beauty look for the cold weather?

I love a dark lip! A deep burgundy lipstick never goes astray in winter.

What skincare and body changes do you make in the winter?

I try to drink more water and apply an extra layer of moisturiser to the dryer areas on my face.

Do you have any beauty icons?

Looking back in time I can’t go past the elegance and class of Grace Kelly, she always looked so beautiful and timeless.

For modern beauty, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I am always in awe of her hair and make-up, she never gets it wrong.
