Monaco’s famous royals showed face in a rare appearance from their balcony this week – and it wasn’t just Princess Charlene’s outfit that caught our immediate attention.

The young family stood on the balcony to watch a procession of dancers to mark the annual St John’s Day Festival – and going by the looks on their faces, they too, were riveted by what they saw.

As they stood out on the balcony, the family watched as dancers performed and a bonfire was lit.

The two-day festival usually takes place every year from June 23 – June 24.

Princess Charlene was dressed to perfection for the occasion.

The fashion-forward royal opted for a chic black dress featuring a button up front and puff sleeves.

The royal finished her look off with a bright red lip and a unique braided up-do.

She’s worn some edgy outfits in her time, and this dark, gothic-esque outfit is right up there with the best of them!

The family watched with anticipation as the events of the day unfolded.

Of course, the day’s event gave rise for a rare glimpse of Charlene and Albert’s five-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.

The two young royals are certainly growing up very quickly. Gabriella was dressed in a pretty white dress with floaty sleeves, while Prince Jacques looked smart in a shirt and blazer.

Ever the two rascals, the pair provided enough entertainment in their own right – we can’t get enough of their facial expressions!

One is not amused…

The family have only just started to emerge for public gatherings again after remaining in lockdown for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In fact, the family themselves were affected directly by the virus, with Prince Albert testing positive back in March.

He has since made a full recovery, and it was reassuring to see him looking well during the festival day this month.

The family shared some sweet moments during the parade.

It’s expected we’ll soon start seeing the royals more regularly as restrictions across European countries ease and borders begin to open.

In the meantime, balcony appearances are proving to be more than enough in getting our royal fix.

Until next time!
