Queen gushes over Princess Charlotte

The Queen has finally spoken out about her new little great-granddaughter, Princess Charlotte.

Queen Elizabeth has spoken out for the first time about Princess Charlotte, expressing her joy of having another great-granddaughter.

After visiting the newborn Princess at Kensington Palace the week before, Prince Charles, Camilla and Prince Harry had all commented how delighted they were at Charlotte’s arrival, and now, the Queen has shared her thoughts on her newest great-granddaughter.

The Queen, who hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace, told those in attendance that she “loves” having another girl in the family.

One of the charity workers at the event shared her interaction with Her Majesty, saying, “I told her I’m so happy at the arrival of another baby. I said congratulations.”

“She said, “Yes, we love to have another girl”. She smiled at that. She was very relaxed and enjoying the event.”

The Queen attended the event dressed in a lemon yellow tweed coat and matching hat, alongside her husband, Prince Philip. Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex were also in attendance.

Another attendee had a similar experience. Carole Watson, a district counsellor, told the Queen that she had worn pink to the event, to celebrate the birth of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s baby girl.

“I said [to the Queen] congratulations on your new granddaughter – she corrected me and said “No, great-granddaughter.”

“It was a lovely experience,” she added.

The Queen now has five great-grandchildren, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, Isla Phillips, Savannah Phillips and Mia Tindall.
