Prince William and Duchess Catherine have stepped out for a joint engagement, travelling north to the city of Sunderland.

They couple, who are just weeks away from becoming parents of three, began their whistle-stop tour of the region with a quick walkabout and a visit to the Fire Station — one of the area’s most iconic buildings that has been converted into a music and arts hub.

While at the venue, a local artist gave Kate a henna tattoo in the shape of a flower on her hand — we’d just love to see Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s reaction upon seeing their mummy’s bold, albeit temporary tattoo!

Kate and Wills began their visit to Sunderland with a quick walkabout.

They stopped to chat happily with those who had waited to catch a glimpse at their arrival.

Kate, who is seven months pregnant, was pictured bending down to chat with one very little well-wisher.

Once inside the ‘Fire Station,’ a local artist gave the beloved royal a temporary tattoo in the shape of a flower on her hand.

Kate, 36, kept her growing baby bump cozy in an evergreen, military-inspired coat by Dolce and Gabbana for the appearance. She chose to accent the look with high-heeled shoes, a simple clutch bag and delicate jewellery.

But it wasn’t long before the beloved royal was forced to tweak her carefully chosen ensemble.

Later in the day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were pictured twinning in high-vis construction gear as they visited the Northern Spire — a new bridge in Sunderland. The 1,550-ton pylon bridge, which is taller than Big Ben’s clock tower, is the second part of a five-part plan to revitalize infrastructure and improve travel in the area.

If either one were afraid of heights, I think we’d now know!

Prince William, 35, seemed to delight in the construction site and even helped tighten a bolt on the not-yet-open bridge. He, too, was dressed (somewhat) appropriately for the task in a simple jumper, chino pants and suede derby boots.

Twins! Kate and Wills wore high-vis gear as they visited the Northern Spire — a new bridge in Sunderland.

Kate’s beautiful baby bump was on full display at the daring engagement.

William seemed in his element at the construction site, but judging by this photo, it doesn’t look like Kate was exactly blown away by her husband’s handiwork.

The duke and duchess’ outing stands in stark contrast to their last appearance at the 71st British Academy Film Awards.

On Sunday, February 18th the couple made a glittering entrance as they arrived at the Royal Albert Hall for the 71st British Academy Film Awards for the 2018 BAFTAs.

Kate looked simply stunning in Jenny Packham for the glittering event.

The expectant parents were pictured smiling and laughing as they enjoyed their night on the town.

Kate turned to her favourite designer Jenny Packham to dress her for the event, highlighting her baby bump in a flowing emerald green gown. She complimented the moody-hued outfit with a smokey eye and soft tousled waves.

Of course, the look was topped off with royal jewels — and lots of them.

You just never know where the royals are likely to pop up next!
