We’re foreseeing a tartan-filled Valentine’s Day for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are headed to Scotland on February 13.

Kensington Palace announced their pre-V-Day plans, saying, “Prince Harry and Ms. Markle will visit Edinburgh on 13th February, where they will attend engagements at @edinburghcastle, local social enterprise @SocialBite_, and a reception celebrating youth achievement to mark Scottish Year of Young People at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.”

Social Bites couldn’t be more excited to have royal guests.

Scotland is a huge part of the British Royal Family’s lives with the Queen’s beloved Balmoral Castle one of their favourite getaways.

The cafe, whose profits go to the homeless, tweeted, “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to visit Social Bite next Tuesday 13th Feb. Look forward to telling them about our work and marking the launch of our ‘500 Homes Campaign’ to bring 500 homeless people off the streets into mainstream housing with comprehensive and tailored support.”

No official word if Meghan and Harry are staying in Scotland for their first Valentine’s Day as an engaged couple – but one thing is certain, the former actress takes the most romantic day of the year VERY seriously.

“Hook, line and sinker, I am such a sucker for Valentine’s Day,” she wrote on her now-shut lifestyle blog The Tig.

Harry this is your FIRST V-Day as a fiance…

“Without fail, every February 14th, I wake up feeling like I’m immersed in a Robert Doisneau photo, waiting with bated breath to be dipped into a kiss. This is all happening in black and white, of course. And in Paris, if I had my way.”

“But delusions of francophile grandeur aside, Valentine’s Day is special wherever you happen to find yourself. And in terms of gifts, be it breakfast in bed, a sweet love note, or a single flower, it really is the thought that counts.”

Proving to be ever the independent woman, she also mused, “I think you need to be your own Valentine.”

“I think you need to cook that beautiful dinner even when it’s just you, wear your favorite outfit, buy yourself some flowers, and celebrate the self love that often gets muddled when we focus on what we don’t have.”

We have a little hunch that this year Meghan will allow her hubby-to-be to join in on the romantic festivities.
