If it’s good enough for Queen Elizabeth II’s living room, it’s worth waiting for.

A never-before-seen photograph of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, was first spotted back in May, albeit briefly, during an official engagement with the Queen inside her Buckingham Palace living room.

The image with Meghan and Harry looking smitten and smiling together had our hearts a-flutter when it became visible during the engagement.

If you squint really hard, you can make out a couple in love! Royal fans were thrilled to get a peek at the sweet unseen photograph.

While the picture itself was a little hard to make out in the brief glimpse we got, it was enough to tide us over until we saw the real thing.

Now, we’ve finally got a clearer view of the picture, and it hasn’t disappointed.

Following their 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, the royal couple gifted the photograph to all of the dignitaries they met along the way as a thank you card.

And lucky for us, someone had the foresight to post a much clearer image of the pic, and we are swooning!

While it’s not clear when the image was taken, it does pose some similarities to the couple’s engagement shoot in December last year, suggesting the candid pic might have been taken around the same time.

Their engagement shoot photographer, Alexi Lubomirski, has a strong portfolio in celebrity shoots having previously worked with Julia Roberts, Beyoncé, and Keira Knightley.

In an interview with BBC earlier this year, Lubomirski revealed a touching backstory behind one of his most famous photos of Harry and Meghan on the steps of the East Terrace at Windsor Castle.

The picture was taken shortly before their wedding reception.

“The sun is setting right just over the top of Windsor Castle just behind them, it was just the most serene, beautiful light, they’re in love, walking around this beautiful garden,” he said.

“It was just one of those magical moments when you’re a photographer and everything falls into place. I said ‘just before you go in, sit on those stairs.'”

Harry and Meghan have just wrapped up a whirlwind tour Down Under, taking part in a whopping 76 engagements over 16 days, and there’s no denying they left a strong impression on those they met.

In New Zealand, Meghan’s rousing speech about female rights was met with high praise. Speaking to the audience at Government House in Wellington, the Duchess said she was proud to celebrate New Zealand, especially given it was the first self-governing country in the world to give women the right to vote in parliamentary elections.

“Bravo New Zealand for championing this right 125 years ago – for the women who well deserve to have an active voice and acknowledged vote, and for all of the people that this effort has paved the way for globally,” she said.

Furthermore, during the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in Sydney, Meghan also shared some poignant words about her past experience with the army.

“I’m not sure if many of you know this, but a few years ago, before I had met my husband, I had the incredible honour of visiting troops deployed all over the world, from the U.K. to Italy and Afghanistan, and several other countries,” she explained.

“In travelling to these military bases, I was given a very special glimpse into the lives of those who serve our countries. I was able to see the unshakable bonds between service men and women on the ground together, but at the same time to feel the palpable longing for family and friends while deployed.”
