The Amazing Race Australia returns to Network 10 this year, with host Beau Ryan at the helm of the reboot. The countdown is now officially on for the series’ return, now that the first trailer has been revealed.

It’s been five years since the original version, which aired for three seasons on Channel Seven, graced our screens. It was hosted by actor Grant Bowler, and saw teams Tyler Atkins and Nathan Joliffe, Shane Haw and Andrew Thoday and Daniel Little and Ryan Thomas win the top prize.

Along with being amazing, the new series promises to be “crazy, ludicrous, outrageous and adventurous.”

Our enthusiastic host Beau will lead 11 teams as they ping pong across three continents in pursuit of the $250,000 cash prize money.

In the first look trailer for the new series, viewers are briefly introduced to the participants and the many challenges they’ll face in the race.

Network 10 teases hilarious failed camel rides, terrifying sky dives and painfully slow cab journeys that could cost teams the competition!

The trailer also reveals one team is made up of two missionaries, who claim “the other teams might be a bit threated by us, cos we’ve got the big fella on our side.”
