Married at First Sight’s Martha is just as surprised as you are that she and Michael are still together

When you think season six Married At First Sight success stories, it’s hard not to go straight to golden couple Cameron Merchant and Jules Robinson.

But another glamorous couple from the hit show are still going strong, with Michael Brunelli and Martha Kalifatidis closer than ever as they attended the TV WEEK Logie Awards on Sunday night.

While walking the red carpet at the TV WEEK Logie Awards, Michael and Martha stopped by the TV WEEK team for a chat – and actually, they’re just as shocked as you are that they’re still together!

“We’re more surprised [that we’re still together] than the rest of you guys to be honest!” Martha laughed when asked about still being together.

With Michael adding: “We just didn’t put any pressure on each other, we just let it grow naturally. We complement each other really well,”

In another surprise twist, the couple revealed that even with all of their differences on-screen, the cast of Married at First Sight still keep in touch.

“We have Skype meetings with them! Once a week we all catch up and fill each other in on our lives,” Martha said.

For Michael, a PE teacher from VIC, once the drama ceased, he was back to regular programming.

“It was kind of a rock star vibe for a little bit!” he admitted of how his students at school reacted.

“But now they’ve got a little bit over it and I’m just back to Mr Brunelli the PE teacher.”
