For bride Joanne, her Married At First Sight experience is all about her three sons.
The Victorian-based barber, 39, reveals that after a particularly nasty break-up with her ex-partner, with whom she shares sons Cayden, 12, Ryder, 11, and Mackai, four, she is after someone her boys can look up to.
"They were so used to having a father figure, so I thought it was time for that," Joanne tells Woman's Day.
Woman's Day may no longer be on Facebook but here's everywhere else you can find our amazing content:
While seeing their mother on TV would no doubt be daunting for them, Joanne says they're proud of her for being open to love after going through a tough split.
"It was just so awful because he made me believe we were still going to be together... I still feel sick when I have to see him," she says.
"It took me a while to get over the anger and the hurt from that relationship, and I didn't throw myself into a new relationship either, because I didn't want to transfer that hurt onto somebody new.
"I really needed to work on bettering myself."
Now after being single for three years, Joanne is ready for a man who will complete her family, but he'll have to tick off a few boxes...
"I want a typical Aussie bloke and I made sure I requested someone with height and hair," she laughs.
"I'm a barber, I can't have a bald husband!"
