The Keira Maguire and Jarrod Woodgate saga continues!

The couple who met and fell in love this year on Bachelor in Paradise have gone through a very public and very messy break up, with Keira saying a lot of eyebrow-raising comments.

But the blonde bombshell has now come forward and confessed that a lot of what she said was declared “in the heat of the moment” and some of it wasn’t even true.

The reality star uploaded a snap of the couple in happier times.

In a candid Instagram post, Keira wrote that while she said things that were “hurtful” and “not true” about her split with Jarrod, she still cares for her now ex-boyfriend.

“I just want both of us to be happy & move forward with our lives. I love Jarrod very much, sometimes things happen which you don’t expect & you may not like, But one thing I know is although it’s hard you must always approach these situations with love. I want to wish him all the happiness in the future. Love always Wins 💗 #chapterclosed📙”

Speaking with Now To Love in a chat earlier this week, Keira revealed that Jarrod was not ready for a relationship.

“It was disappointing to me because he came off as this guy that was ready to settle to down, but the reality is, he wasn’t ready,” she said.

“He had all these qualities and all these traits and he still does,” she said. “He’s an amazing person and I’m obviously still in love with the guy, and I think at the same time if we had met in different circumstances we could have worked it out. I don’t think that we were equipped for this particular situation.”

It’s been a rough year for not just Keira and Jarrod, but two more of our favourite BIP couples. Tara Pavlovic and Sam Cochrane broke off their engagement in July whilst Jake Ellis and Megan Marx ended their relationship in August.

Will next year’s singles have a little more luck? Bachelor in Paradise is coming back to our screens in 2019, here’s what we know.
