Many parents say welcoming your second-born child into the world is a little easier than the first because you’re prepared for what’s to come.

It also means you’re well aware of how quickly the newborn phase passes and to cherish those precious moments as much as you can.

This week, Channel Nine star Jayne Azzopardi took a moment to remind new mums to make a conscious effort to soak up every moment.

Jayne, who is the proud mum of one-year-old son Joey and newborn son Theodore, posted an adorable picture with her youngest son in her arms.

“My baby boy. Getting in all those newborn head sniffs while he’s still tiny because I know it doesn’t last long,” the Weekend Today host mused.

TV host Rebecca Maddern commented, “Divine photo,” on Jayne’s post and Jasmine Stefanovic wrote, “Congratulations 💙💙 so beautiful.”

The Channel Nine reporter and her husband Trent Butler welcomed Theodore into the world at the end of May.

Jayne took to her Instagram to announce the exciting news.

“Hands and heart full.❤️Perfect little Theodore Phillip arrived last week and completed our family. Mum and dad are busy, tired and feeling very grateful for our healthy & handsome little surprise package.

“Extra special that he gets his middle name from his much-loved Poppy who he just missed out on meeting,” Jayne wrote alongside a sweet first snap of the bub.

Two weeks after his birth, Theodore’s doting mother shared another relatable testament.

She posted a picture of her baby resting on her shoulder with the caption, “Almost 2 weeks with my baby boy.”

She then added this very real observation, “No time to brush my hair (or sleep) but the snuggles are worth it.”
