If you asked most 10-year-old boys what they wanted to be when they grow up, they’d say a sports star, police officer or superhero – but not Xavier Elliott.
The generous lad is wowing us with his generosity, opting to spend his pocket money on making clothes for the homeless.
While other kids are outside playing, Xavier spends his spare time using his mum’s sewing machine to make clothes for the homeless.
Helping those in need is very close to the 10-year-old’s heart, as he was once was left homeless after his army veteran dad returned from Iraq.
Now Xavier is helping other children with his very own heart-warming charity project.

“I think the idea came to him from everything we have endured and wanting to make a difference for other people,” Xavier’s mum, Stephanie explained to Huffington Post.
“I think he took the volunteering he sees now and made it his own.”
Stephanie explained that when Xavier’s father returned home from his service with the Army, he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, resulting in the family being homeless for about six different living in homeless shelter.
The family are now back on their feet, but for Xavier the experience prompted him to make a change in his life, using his pocket money to purchase fabric, buttons and zips so he can make clothes for the homeless, which are sent to the Salvation Army as well local homeless shelters Crisis Nursery and UMOM New Day Center.
“I hope it [encourages] other people to help me,” Xavier told KPNX. “So I could help other people.”
