Shish restaurant, in London’s south-east, has vowed to give away three course holiday meals to anyone in need, reports the UK’s Telegraph.

The Turkish restaurant plans to trade between 12pm and 6pm and is boasting a complimentary menu of soup and cacik (a yoghurt-based dip) to start, chicken or vegetarian casserole or chicken shish for the main meal and rice pudding as dessert.

The word is spreading through social media pages and Shish’s gesture has been praised widely.

One Twitter user wrote: “Wow! You guys rock! What a lovely selfless act. You are a credit to humanity”

While another user wrote: “Nice to know there are still some lovely people out there thinking of others less fortunate.”
