“I am looking for the guy, whose number I never saved thinking I would never see again and as it turns out ... I have something that belongs to him."

We all know that social media has the ability to break up relationships, from Facebook posts gone wrong, to accidentally tagged Instagrams. But a story we don’t often hear about, is one of social media bringing two people together.

Which is exactly what happened in the case of Bianca Fazey, who, after a long and harrowing ordeal, has finally been reunited with the father of her child – through Gumtree.

Earlier this year, Bianca took to Gumtree, an online localised market place, to post an ad seeking “Jeremy from Morley”.

In her ad, Bianca explained that after partying with him at “Harlem Wednesdays” in a Perth nightclub, they had spent the night together and, as a result, she had fallen pregnant.

She further went on to describe her nightcaller (“He was handsome, about 5’7ish, in his 20s, brown hair, brown eyes, no tattoos, very friendly and lovely gentleman”), and ask that either he, or anyone who knew him, come forth.

“I am looking for the guy, whose number I never saved thinking I would never see again and as it turns out … I have something that belongs to him. I met a guy named Jeremy on the 23rd of April 2014 at Harlem Wednesdays, We ended up spending the night together and I ended up pregnant,” wrote Bianca, “So as my search for this guy has failed time and time again I have tried the hotel (Rydges) we were in and that came up blank (privacy reason’s). From what I remember he told me his name is Jeremy (his Mum calls him Jeremiah), he lives in Morley with a bunch of guys and he had just returned from a 4 week on 1 week off FIFO job.”

“I just going out on a limb here and hoping someone knows someone of this description.”

It was a long shot, she added, but one she was willing to try.

And, after a few months, of waiting, Bianca revealed on her social media accounts that her gamble had paid off, and that she had been reunited with Jeremy and “found a love that the negative people could only dream of”.

“I am one lucky lady, to not only have found [my son’s] daddy but over a couple of months I have learnt he is an absolute gentleman, sweet, kind and already in love with his baby boy,” Ms Fazey posted.

“I am so proud and pleased to have Jeremiah in our lives, he will always be his little boy’s hero.”
