Google Street View uncovers husband’s secret habit

When Street View first launched they didn't blur out faces, but there was no need to with him...

Donny Ryding told his wife Julie he had given up cigarettes after a health scare but his other half was suspicious and, where there is smoke there is fire.

Donny – who works as a cab driver in the UK – was told by his doctor to clean up his lifestyle following a heart attack but Julie wasn’t convinced her hubby had stuck to his health kick after finding biscuits and other sweet treats in his car, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Julie began to do some spying in a bid to uncover the truth about whether her hubby had really kicked his smoking habit.

“He’d been told to give up smoking and to stop eating unhealthy foods after he had a heart attack,” Julie told the Echo.

“I cleaned his car out for him and I found loads of Hobnob biscuits in there. I confronted him and he denied it and he wouldn’t admit to it … He stormed out of the house…”

But unluckily – or luckily rather – for Donny his jig was about to be up and exposed to the whole world via Google.

“[Later] that day we’d heard that the street view camera was driving around,” said Julie.

“When I checked it online I couldn’t believe it – there was no denying it now we’d seen it.”

While the Google Street View image of the Ryding household in Wirral, North West England, has now been replaced with a more up to date version you can see Donny clearly enjoying a dart in a previous image.

“When Street View first launched they didn’t blur out faces, but there was no need to with him – he was covered by a cloud of smoke anyway.”

Julie says her husband was on the couch that night but now – since he’s given away the ciggies for good – they can joke about how Donny’s secret habit went up in puff of smoke.
