Parents of jilted bride invite homeless to wedding

I feel a lot of heartache and heartbreak for (my daughter) but I will take away something good from this.

The parents of a bride who was jilted at the altar have spent the money they would have spent on a reception on a magnificent meal for the homeless.

News Ltd reports that the Duane family had already paid around $50,000 for the wedding reception when her heartbroken daughter, Quinn, called to say the wedding was off.

Her fiancé, Landon Borup had backed out at the last minute.

“Instead of cancelling the reception at the luxurious Citizen Hotel in Sacramento, California, they invited the city’s homeless to enjoy the feast,” the reports says.

“It just seemed like, of course, this would be something that we would do to give back,” the mother of the bride, Kari Duane told KCRA.

“I feel a lot of heartache and heartbreak for (my daughter) but I will take away something good from this.”

Kari will also be joining her daughter on her honeymoon to Belize, which was also too late to cancel.
