Oscar Pistorius appeals murder conviction

His lawyers have filed papers in a bid to appeal his conviction.

South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius is seeking an appeal against his murder conviction over the 2013 shooting death of his girlfriend.

Last month, his original conviction of manslaughter was overturned and he was convicted of murder.

His lawyers have now lodged papers at South Africa’s Constitutional Court asking for a review of the murder conviction.

Pistorius shot his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead after firing four bullets through a toil door in February three years ago.
