With only one weekend left to get yourself a shopping bargain before the end of the financial year, these are the sales you should be looking out for.
As a quick refresher, the end of financial year (EOFY) is June 30, 2017. This is the same every year, no matter what day the date falls on.
When do the end of financial year sales start?
The sales typically begin at the start of June, or even the end of May. They run until the end of the financial year (June 30), or sometimes depending on the business will include the weekend following June 30. In other word, hurry because you only have mere days to get yourself a bargain.
Department stores
David Jones is offering up to 40 per cent on a range of homewares, manchester, furniture and beds, along with an additional discount on a selection of already-reduced clothing, shoes, bags and accessories.
For its clearance, Myer has an extra 30 per cent off a range of already-reduced women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and women’s footwear and handbags.
Car sales
Major brands Toyota, Mazda and Hyundai are all offering discounts on some of their most popular models.

Home, whitegoods and electrical
Harvey Norman is a great place to pick up a deal for your home. If you’ve been saving up, this is the time to make your money go the furthest. Pick up the new Apple MacBook Pro 13″ for 10 per cent off, and the Dyson V6SLIM Cordless Handstick for only $299 – a saving of $100.
Electronics retailer JB HI-FI should be on your shopping list if you’re looking to score a bargain price for a TV, camera or computer. Look out for 15 per cent off ultra HD TVs from brands such as Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, LG, Hisense and Hitachi. Along with 15 per cent off cameras from Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Sony.
Fashion for the family
Peter Alexander is a great place to shop for the whole family which pants, tops, nighties and pyjama sets going for as low as $29.
The Iconic is also offering up to 60 per cent off everything and Wittner has up to $150 off boots.
Kids and family
BIG W is having a cracking toy sale, with popular brand such as Lego, Disney Pixar Cars, Fisher-Price and Trolls drastically discounted.
Urban Baby is also reducing a number of their items by up to 70 per cent.
