Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski’s love story captivated the nation and now the bachelor has touchingly revealed that his late mum “would absolutely adore her.”
Aged just 15, Sam tragically lost his mum after her battle with cancer, and he says there’s not a day that goes by where she isn’t in the forefront of his thoughts.
“It’s something that is a massive part of my life and something I think about it every day without fail,” he tells OK! magazine.
And it was Snez’s compassion towards his loss that made the pair a perfect match.
“The fact she was genuinely interested and cared about it shows just how much cares about me,” Sam says.
But now the cameras have stopped rolling, Sam and Snez are faced with the challenges of real life – especially for the 35-year-old who is becoming a stepdad to 10-year-old Eve, Snezana’s daughter from a previous relationship.

“She is just this beautiful little girl and I can’t wait to get to know her better,” Sam touchingly reveals. “How close we get will be up to her, but I’ve spent a bit of time with her now and we do get on well.”
The Perth beauty may already have a giant rock on her finger but her new beau is yet to pop the question.
On when we can expect to hear wedding bells, he told OK!, “we are going to take it nice and slow and spend time getting to know each other.”
