Ricky Martin is The Voice coach that everyone adores but his past relationship with singer Naomi Preece has got his fuming fans questioning:
“Is Naomi’s relationship with former contestant Luke Kennedy guaranteeing her a spot in the finals?”
While there’s no doubt the singer’s gutsy performances make her one of Team Ricky’s strongest contenders, rumours are swirling about a pact to guarantee Naomi’s success between her, her coach Ricky Martin, and her boyfriend Luke Kennedy – a former contestant who skyrocketed to the grand finals of The Voice 2013 with Ricky as his coach.
Ever since Ricky coached Luke the pair have had a lasting bond that even saw Luke perform in Ricky’s national tour.
Naomi insists Ricky wasn’t even aware she was a singer – despite the fact he was coaching Luke on The Voice, she was starring in her smash hit cabaret Rumour Has It: Sixty Minutes Inside Adele. She is also heavily featured on Luke’s social media accounts with the 2013 runner up posting a video of them singing, to Instagram (Watch the duo belt out a tune in the video player above)
Woman’s Day, on stands now, sheds some light on the controversial choice when Luke’s girlfriend won the battle round against Lize Heerman.
Ever since Ricky coached Luke the pair have had a lasting bond that even saw Luke perform in Ricky’s national tour.
But the Latin superstar is adamant that he has no favourites and ultimately the decision will be up to voting viewers. Time will tell as Naomi prepares to head into the Live Shows!

The Battle song between Naomi and Lize Heerman aired last week and Ricky confirmed, “I’m taking Naomi with me,” fans were quick to voice their disapproval.
