Josh Lawson is stepping into some mighty big shoes as he prepares to take on the role of a lifetime as Paul Hogan.
The actor, who cracked Hollywood in the highly popular comedy House of Lies, was hand-picked to lead the cast in the upcoming Seven miniseries.
“He’s a man who means a lot to a lot of Australians, but he means a lot to me,” the 34-year-old has explained his new gig.
“As a comedian and an actor and as someone who lives in Los Angeles, I’m not sure how much of that would be possible without the path Paul Hogan paved for a lot of actors.”
Josh is joined by stellar line-up including Justine Clarke as first wife Noelene Hogan, Ryan Corr as Hoges' best mate and comedic sidekick John “Strop” Cornell, Laura Gordon will portray Linda Kozlowski and Nikki Osborn as Delvene Delaney.
