Duchess Catherine’s all-brown outfit sets a precedent for the winter ahead – and Meghan Markle is also on board

The royal tick of approval.

Duchess Catherine isn’t one to shy away from setting the fashion agenda, so when she stepped out in a ridiculously chic all-brown get-up today, you could positively bet the unique ensemble was about to be recreated for the masses Down Under as winter approaches.

Catherine was joined by husband Prince William for a chilly day in London, where they visited an ambulance station in East London to talk about the staff and paramedics’ experience throughout the pandemic.

The event involved plenty of candid chats and even a FaceTime call with the family of one of the paramedics.

The royals were in their element as they animatedly spoke to the family of Jay Khan, who has been separated from her family in Bangladesh.

William told the family: “She works very hard and she’s looking forward to seeing you soon.”

Kate added: “Hopefully it won’t be too long before you can all meet up and see each other again.”

Of course, one couldn’t ignore Kate’s flawless outfit.

The Duchess wore a long, camel-coloured woollen coat from Spanish label Massimo Dutti.

Underneath, she donned a matching brown polo-neck jumper.

Interestingly, Kate’s look was rather reminiscent to a style worn by Duchess Meghan just over a year ago shortly before she stepped back from the royal family.

In January 2020, Meghan and husband Harry stepped out on a visit to Canada House in London, with the Duchess looking chic in a Stella McCartney coat with an affordable turtle neck top from H&M.

And funnily enough, her skirt at the time was by Kate’s brown coat designer – Massimo Dutti.

Anyone else spot the similarities here?
