Kickstarting the careers of some of Australia’s biggest (and arguably best) acting talent, Foxtel drama series Love My Way showcased a myriad of complex characters dealing with the deepest of human emotions.

Over three, ten-episode a-piece seasons, the series followed a group of thirty somethings dealing with the ups and downs of life, winning a string of Astra, AACTA, AFI and even Logie awards and then some….

More than 15 years on from the series finale, TV Week thought now was the time to catch up with the cast and see where they have landed today.

Claudia Karvan as Frankie Paige

Claudia was already a household name by the time she starred in Love My Way.

Even prior to her time on Love My Way, Claudia was already one of Australia’s most celebrated actresses.

Since the show wrapped up, the now 50-year-old went on to star in a number of local television series, notably as Judy Vickers in Puberty Blues (2012 – 2014), as Ginny in Halifax: Retribution (2020) and more recently as Angie Davis in Stan original series Bump (2021 – 2022) which she also co-created and co-produced, similarly to her time on Love My Way.

As of August 2020, Claudia was reportedly living in Redfern with her daughter Audrey and son Albee whom she shares with ex-partner Jeremy Sparks.

Asher Keddie as Julia Jackson

Asher went on to star in smash hit drama series Offspring after her time on Love My Way ended.

Directly after filming wrapped on Love My Way, this Logie award winning actress went on to star alongside fellow Australian actor Hugh Jackman in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) before taking the lead in Offspring (2010) as protagonist Buba Proudman.

Her most recent role was in the television miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers (2021) alongside the likes of Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans and Bobby Cannavale.

Asher is currently married to artist Vincent Fantauzzo whom she shares a son with, Valentino, born in March 2015.

Brendan Cowell as Tom Jackson

Brendan has starred in a number of Hollywood films and television series, notably Avatar: The Way of Water.

Whilst his time on Love My Way was critically acclaimed, his time on the show was arguably dwarfed by a stint on HBO global smash hit Game of Thrones in 2017 for a three-episode arc as Harrag and in the billion dollar box office generating Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) as the character Scoresby.

Talk about success!

Brendan has also starred in a number of other television series and movies including Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War (2012), Underbelly Files (2011), Last Cab to Darwin (2015) and The Twelve (2022)

He is currently starring as John Proctor in a National Theatre Live production of The Crucible by renowned playwright Arthur Miller.

Dan Wyllie as Charlie Jackson

You won’t believe what Dan’s longest running role is…

This familiar face was already a staple on the screen by the time he starred on Love My Way but did you know he was actually ‘B2’ across 95 episodes of Bananas in Pyjamas from 2011 – 2013?

He also starred in Foxtel drama series Tangle (2012), horror movie Bait (2012), in two separate roles on two seasons of Underbelly (2008 & 2013), as Roger Knight in Puberty Blues (2012 – 2014) and most recently in psychological thriller series Wakefield (2021).

Sam Worthington as Howard Light

He hasn’t aged a day!

Despite only appearing in a ten-episode arc during season one, Sam has gone from strength to strength in the almost two decades since his time on the show came to an end.

As well as starring in multibillion dollar grossing Avatar (2009) as protagonist Jake Sully and then it’s equally successful sequel – Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) – Sam has also starred in blockbuster movies Terminator Salvation (2009), Clash of the Titans (2010) and it’s sequel Wrath of the Titans (2012), Everest (2015), Hacksaw Ridge (2016) and most recently in the movie Transfusion (2023) – and this is all just the tip of the iceberg.

The 46-year-old is married to model Lara (née Bingle) and they share three sons Rocket Zot, Race and River together.

Ben Mendelsohn as Lewis Feingold

Ben is a Marvel and Star Wars star!

This Aussie actor is another Love My Way alum who went on to achieve great things in the entertainment industry.

Take his roles in Baz Luhrmann’s Australia (2008), Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Star Wars film Rogue One (2016) or in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One (2018) for example.

More recently, Ben has been inducted into the Marvel multiverse in the role of shape shifter Talos who will feature prominently in upcoming Disney+ miniseries Secret Invasion (2023).

He is also the deserving recipient of a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Danny Rayburn in Netflix original series Bloodline (2015 – 2017).

Other notable roles include in Quentin Taratino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood (2019) opposite Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio as infamous cult leader Charles Manson (a character he also portrayed in the Netflix series Mindhunter) and most recently in Stan original movie The Portable Door (2023) opposite Christopher Waltz and Sam Neill.
