‘They don’t have an off switch’: The feud brewing behind the scenes of Travel Guides

One team is causing chaos on set.

It seems one of the most popular teams on Travel Guides has a habit of ruffling their fellow contestants’ feathers behind-the-scenes.

The trio of Kev, Teng and Dorian are fan favourites, with viewers drawn to their banter and fun sense of humour. However, it seems their bright personalities can frustrate even their most tolerant cast mates at the end of a long day of filming.

After ex-teammates Stack and Mel admitted they had told the trio to “shut up” because they were so “immature” during filming, there’s been whispers that some of the other cast members have also grown frustrated with the team’s boisterous behaviour.

“They’re genuinely lovely guys, but three of them together can be like having three schoolboys in the back of a car. There’s always a joke, someone yelling across the room or one of them winding the other up. After a long day, the other Guides need five minutes’ peace,” our insider spills.

“Once they get going, they don’t really have an off switch. Someone will say something and suddenly Kev, Teng and Dorian are all piling on. It’s funny for a while, but imagine being stuck around that energy from breakfast until dinner.”

Despite the chaos they cause on set, it seems the rest of the cast know how much the boys bring to the show and how popular they are with the audience.

“Nobody’s declaring war on them, let’s be clear. But there have definitely been moments where someone has basically given them the look that says, ‘Guys, enough now,” a source close to production explains.

“They’re mates, everyone’s having fun, but the volume can get pretty high.”

And according to insiders, the trio won’t be told to quiet things down anytime soon.

“Meanwhile, production reckon the boys’ reputation for mischief is exactly why they’re so popular — even if it occasionally tests everyone’s patience,” our source spills.

“The irony is that the thing that supposedly annoys people is also the reason viewers love them. They’re completely committed to the bit. If there’s an opportunity to stir someone up, they’ll take it.

“You can practically see the other cast members thinking, ‘Here we go again.'”

Kev, Teng and Dorian joined Travel Guides in Season 2, which aired in 2018, and are now one of the longest serving teams on the show.
