Three weeks after Season 1 dropped, Netflix’s latest reality dating show, Age Of Attraction, has officially been renewed for a second season. A fun teaser trailer featuring highlights from Season 1 announced the confirmation. Oh my lanta, indeed!
The bold new experiment, which removes age from the equation to see if it really is just a number at the end of the day – and if romance can blossom when a couple is unaware of each other’s digits – soared to the top of the streaming charts upon its release.
In Season 1, 40 singles from around the US – aged from 22 to 60 – arrived at a retreat in British Columbia, ready to find The One.
After getting to know each another, couples who felt ready to take their relationship to the next step entered the Promise Room. Here, they were finally able to reveal their age.
Six couples left the room and move in together, putting their relationship to the test in the real world.
Atop a picturesque mountaintop Commitment Ceremony, which of our couples would make the decision to start a life together?
The show has proved a massive success, remaining in Netflix’s English TV Top 10 since its debut and reaching the Top 10 in 26 additional countries.
Former US The Bachelorette star Nick Viall and wife Natalie Joy will return as hosts for Season 2.
Executive producers Jennifer O’Connell and Rebecca Quinn say they were drawn to the show’s unique concept.
“We love concepts that are impossible to look away from, and Age Of Attraction nailed that from day one. It’s messy, it’s real, and that’s what makes it fun to watch,” they said.
“The response has been incredible, and we’re excited to push it even further in Season 2.”
And fans can’t wait!
“It is runaway train-wreck and I am seated and ready for all of it!” wrote one online commentator.
“I can’t get enough of this train wreck. I’m here for all of it,” added another.
A third wrote: “I am SO HAPPY it is renewed for season 2!!!!!!! I’ve been having the best conversations and debates all thanks to this show. It’s messy and real. I love it.”
