It’s been blow after blow for The Block’s Shaynna Blaze and sources say the reality star’s ready to snap! Sadly, there’s mounting pressure from fans for the 59-year-old to be replaced, along with fellow judges Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker.

“Shaynna Blaze is the main reason I’ve stopped watching The Block… I could understand some of her decisions but it’s all down to TV drama, don’t worry about how the contestants feel, it’s really so sad,” one fan savagely wrote online.

FANS TURNED FOES

Others have suggested Shaynna and her co-judges are out of touch and should be bumped in favour of real estate agents and property evaluators to add a touch of authenticity to the judging process.

“Think the judges need to find new careers. If they gave 10 to Sarah-Jane they are definitely kidding themselves,” commented one fan.

“They definitely need to go! We need some new fresh eyes. They definitely play favouritism,” added another.

Shaynna denies she’s been biased when judging, though, and says she finds the “pushback” from this year’s contestants, who have questioned the judges’ decisions, “strange”. “When you’re getting advice from people who do it for a career, who live it, and you’re pushing back and you’ve never done this before – I struggle with that,” she says. “They should be soaking it up!”

Her spin off show keeps getting delayed.

With widespread nastiness overshadowing what is arguably the most exciting season ever of The Block, sources reveal she thankfully has support in her co-stars, including Scott Cam, Shelley Craft and fellow judges Neale and Darren.

“They’re a tight-knit family, and will always stand by Shaynna,” a source tells.

SHOW ON HOLD

But viewers baying for her to get the chop isn’t the only issue bringing the mother-of-two down.

Network insiders say the star’s spin-off show, Country Home Rescue, which was slated to be released in October 2021 after she was crowned the winner of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia last year, has once again been pushed aside.

There are fears she will be replaced.

While the network staunchly insists it will launch “soon”, with Shaynna telling fans weeks ago she “can’t wait to introduce you to my gorgeous family as we renovate our family home together”, Nine keeps delaying the series, causing further issues.

Meanwhile, her co-star Scotty’s new series Australia’s Most Identical – the search for the nation’s most identical twins – was heavily promoted at the recent Nine Upfront event, where they announced upcoming shows for the rest of 2022 and into 2023. Shaynna’s new series barely rated a mention.

“There’s no doubt that behind the scenes Shaynna feels a little let down,” says an insider, who notes it must be hard to see a personal project of hers constantly shafted.

“She prides herself on her work and this was a TV project with her children. To have it pushed aside – it would have her questioning where she stands with Nine.”

It all comes of course as the already-fragile star attempts to move on from being assaulted by a stranger while out walking her dog on a Melbourne street in April 2020. In court documents, Shaynna admitted the brutal attack has had “ongoing effects” on her wellbeing.

The star appeared to have reached her limit when she began lashing out online amid her most recent setbacks. “With comments like yours I always ‘watch my back’,” she replied to one nasty statementon Instagram.
