Eagle-eyed observers will have noticed Carrie wore a stunning leopard-print dress to the Logies. Could this have been Carrie’s way of hinting she’s signed on to co-host the new season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!?

Just go with us on this one.

Last month, it was announced Channel Seven had snaffled I’m A Celeb from Network 10. Seven’s owner, Seven West Media, meanwhile, has merged with Southern Cross Austereo.

Meanwhile, Southern Cross Austerio owns the Hit Network, which airs Carrie’s daily radio show with comedian Tommy Little, Carrie & Tommy.

With this in mind, I’m A Celeb would be the perfect vehicle for Carrie’s re-launch into television. And she’s just the type of celebrity Seven will need on board to make a big splash with their version of the hit reality show.

Speaking to TV WEEK on the Logies red carpet, Carrie teased a possible return to television.

“I have never said never to anything,” Carrie, 45, said. “I’ve been saying no to most things for the last few years, just because I wanted to work out what I actually want to do. I could have very quickly said yes to something and just got back on the horse.”

Carrie added that with the nature of her radio show with Tommy being filmed and segments often appearing on social media, “weirdly, I’m on camera almost as much as I was when I was on traditional TV”.

“So, I’ve never really thought about the fact that I’ve left (television), even though I know I have,” she said. “I will do more of something. I just don’t know what medium it will be on.”

Earlier this year, Carrie was roasted on an episode of Seven’s Glenn and Mick’s Celebrity Intervention, which she says she thoroughly enjoyed.

So, if Carrie has joined I’m A Celeb, the next question is: who will be her co-host? The smart money would be on former I’m A Celeb co-host Chris Brown, who is Seven talent.

Or, Seven might opt for a duo with a proven track record. In our wide-ranging chat on the Logies carpet, Carrie remarked on how well she and Tommy gelled on radio. She couldn’t imagine, she said, working by herself.

“I just love working with people,” she said.

“That’s what makes the day fun. I would hate to sit and talk to myself in a studio. Nothing appeals to me less.”
