It’s no secret that Neighbours fans love to see some of their old favourites return.

Executive producer, Jason Herbison, has hinted there may be even more comebacks on the cards.

“We’re bringing back another character from the late ’80s,” he reveals. “It’s a character much loved by our viewers and we’re going to tell a lovely story with their return.”

Here are our top picks…

Mike Young (Guy Pearce)

Mike hasn’t been seen on the show since 1989 but audiences loved him. Perhaps Guy is gearing up for another stint? He’s certainly had time to mull it over with former castmate Kylie Minogue. The two worked alongside each other again in the recent Aussie flick Swinging Safari. We’re sure they were reminiscing about the good ole’ days!

Jane Harris (Annie Jones)

She was dubbed “Plain Jane Superbrain” until a makeover revealed a glamorous teen. Jane was a fan favourite, especially when she dated Mike. Jane moved to London to look after her sick grandmother. Could she be back for love?

Charlene Robinson (Kylie Minogue)

The last time we saw Charlene she was driving away from Ramsay Street in a green Mini, bound for a new life in Brisbane with new husband Scott (Jason Donovan). Would she/Kylie come back? We should be so lucky.
