Sam Frost confirmed as Australia’s first Bachelorette!

Australia’s first official Bachelorette has been confirmed as Sam Frost, the jilted fiancée of previous Bachelor Blake Garvey, who returns to be wooed by suitors as the star of the new series.

The bubbly 26-year-old admitted that “it would be pretty embarrassing,” if she suffered the same fate as last year’s series.

Sam was famously jilted by Bachelor Blake Garvey, who proposed to her in the final episode, only to leave her for runner-up Louise Pillidge.

This time, the Bondi babe is taking back control and says she’s learned from her mistakes.

“I think I will be a bit more wiser [sic] when it comes to my choice of men,” Sam told The Daily Telegraph.

“Everyone knows what happened last year… it took me a really long time to get through that. I think if anything out of that, I have realised my own self-worth and I think I am at a point now where I have learnt I deserve to be with someone who is going to treat me well.”

Despite the turbulent year, the marketing exec hasn’t given up on her happily ever after.

“I really do hope I end up falling in love and meeting a really great guy.”

Since the shock finale and subsequent fallout of 2014’s Bachelor series, Sam has “worked on herself”, redeveloped her confidence, and shed an incredible 12-kilograms along the way.

Last series’ Bachelor Blake Garvey proposed to Sam in the final episode, only to brutally ditch her for runner up Louise Pillidge whom he is still with today.

She also had a highly publicised sale of the engagement ring given to her by the smooth Perth auctioneer Blake Garvey, which fetched $31,720 at auction.

However, her return to the small screen hasn’t come without some trepidation.

“Ten asked me late last year and I wasn’t really interested in doing it … it took me a long time to actually decide to say yes,” she said.

“I asked my sister, “what if the same thing happens again? what happens if I end up getting heartbroken again? One of the biggest concerns is if it doesn’t work out.”

“I obviously have no idea who the guys are, I put my trust in the team when I told them I want some genuine guys… what if the same thing happens again? It would be pretty embarrassing.”

Best of luck with your search, Sam! We’re certain you’ll have no troubles.

Sam is sporting a new look since the last series, dropping an amazing 12-kilograms and going to the dark side with chocolate brown locks.
