While Doctor Doctor already has a great cast, it's about to get even better, with news Love Child's Miranda Tapsell will be joining the drama.
The TV WEEK Logie Award-winning actress will make her way to Whyhope to star alongside Rodger Corser, who plays Dr. Hugh Knigh, and Ryan Johnson, who plays his brother, Matt.
The actress says she's thrilled to be involved in the third season of the Nine Network series.
"I'm so excited," Miranda, 30, says. "Doctor Doctor is a show I love to watch."
"I can't wait to join in with some of my favourite Australian actors," the star tells TV WEEK.
Miranda will be playing an old school friend of the Knight brothers.
Also joining the cast for the third season is Vince Colosimo, who is set to play a long-lost relative of the family. Vince stars in the upcoming instalment of the Underbelly franchise, Underbelly Files: Chopper.
Meanwhile, Miranda is currently working on the feature film Top End Wedding in the Northern Territory, alongside Dalara Williams, Elaine Crombie, Shari Niliwil Sebbens, Ursula Yovich and Gwilym Lee.
The third season of Doctor Doctor picks up as Hugh comes to the end of his probation. He'll have to decide between returning to his beloved city life, and remaining in Whyhope with his family when 'tragedy' hits the Knights.
Filming has already commenced in Sydney for the third season of this hit series, with the show set to premiere soon on Nine.
Stars including Rodger (Dr. Hugh Knight), Nicole da Silva (Charlie), Steve Bisley (Jim), Ryan Johnson (Matt), Tina Bursill (Meryl), Hayley McElhinney (Penny), and Matt Castley (Ajax) will all reprise their roles.
