Racing commentator Anthony, 33, is perhaps the most divisive personality on Married At First Sight. His outspoken nature has caused tension on the series, especially for his ‘wife’ Nadia. In tonight’s episode, Anthony called Nadia ‘frigid’ in relation to their lack of intimacy.
“It’s heart wrenching seeing some of this footage,” the 36-year-old flight attendant admits to TV WEEK.
Yet she has no regrets with how she handled herself in tonight’s episode or throughout the series, despite the barrage of suggestions and opinions she has received on her social media accounts.
“So people may believe I need to stand up and say this or that,” Nadia says. “But I’m a happy person and treat people with respect, no matter who they are or what walk of life they are.
“The most common comment is: ‘Run, Nadia, Run!'” she adds.
But Nadia insists she was treated well by Anthony throughout the show.
“Anthony was nothing but kind, he was never aggressive to me,” Nadia explains. “He said some pretty harsh things from time to time. But we did have very open communication.
“Everyone sees things differently. It’s so easy for people to see dysfunction in someone else’s relationship. At the end of the day, I stand up where I need to stand up for myself,” she says.
