Johnny is ready to fight!

Former Home And Away and X Factor Australia star Johnny Ruffo, 29, has taken to social media to share the news that he has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

“So I have the news,” he wrote on Instagram. “It was a bit of a shock and I’ve got an interesting journey ahead and a bit of a battle.

“I am starting aggressive treatment for the next few months to fight the diagnosis of brain cancer.

“Please stay positive for me and I’ll try to update you guys on my progress.”

Our thoughts go out to Johnny during this incredibly difficult time.

It’s been a tough couple of weeks for Johnny, who has already undergone surgery to have a tumour removed.

“On Sunday I went into hospital with a migraine,” Johnny told TV WEEK last week. “I had to have emergency surgery to have a brain tumour removed. I am on the mend and feeling positive. Keep me in your thoughts.”

On Tuesday he posted a photo on the way to the doctor’s surgery.

“Thank you to everyone for all the support over the last week, off to the docs with my mums, keeping positive,” he wrote.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Australia’s Kris Smith also commented on one of Johnny’s posts writing, “Be thinking about you and sending positive vibes.”
