The 42-year-old coach on The Voice Australia reportedly told journalists this week he wants a daughter.
“The little baby will come next year,” he said during a visit to the Ricky Martin Foundation Child Development and Prevention Center in Loiza, Puerto Rico.
“When Daddy’s little girl arrives, I want to be there,” he was quoted as saying on Latino Fox News.
Martin already has six-year-old twin boys, Matteo and Valentino – born via a surrogate. He didn’t say whether he would use a surrogate again or adopt.
“We have to make a couple of phone calls to look for the little girl,” the star added.
